About Jennifer                My Background

Painting in CyprusDrawing and Painting have always been an important part of my life.

Having had career in the Medical Profession  as a Radiographer meant that artistic opportunities were somewhat limited, however I was able to produce some work during that time.

Having now retired from The N.H.S. I am able to devote much more time to my Art Work.

I like to work from drawings in my sketch book done on location at home and abroad getting inspiration from the wild open spaces of Dartmoor to the old hilltop villages in Cyprus.

I am a Member of The Cantium Group of  Artists, and a Member of The Armed Forces Art Society, with whom I have exhibited at The Mall Galleries in London.  In 2009 I received a Highly Commended Certificate for my etching of Kakopetria. I have also exhibited with the Royal Society of Marine Artists at the Mall Galleries.

I am a  Member of West Wickham Arts Association and Chislehurst Artists. With another artist I run the Conquest Art Group for the Disabled in Bromley.

I have received commissions from the following:-

Tate and Lyle.
     ●3D Wines

Bromley Bowling Club,
This featured a Pen and Ink drawing of this historic bowling club
(Founded1888) which was subsequently made into table mats for the Club. (see below.)

    The University Hospital, Lewisham.

    Paintings of several private houses.

The Turtle Gallery in Rye, Sussex  has several of my etchings.

My work is in private collections in Australia, Japan, United States, Canada, Cyprus, Greece and France.
A Mr. R. Ovens wrote about my work as follows,
       "
Dear Jennifer,
What a superb artist you are!!   I loved the watercolours,
but the etchings are something else.  I wish you every success with your
website and hope you make many sales,
    sincerely
